I'd likek to see Expendables and Machete, but I'll catch them on DVD or cable. No going to the theater for me for a while.

Only movies I know of offhand that are upcoming that I want to see are Resident Evil: Afterlife and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

The rest of the previews I kinda forgot the names to the movies cuz I was too focused on the action in Expendables

I don't know what weather you have had lately but I have seen post-storm photos (never in person) where strong storms moved those things across the fields and into a creek, or some similar barrier.

Rex, I've lived in the Plains almost all my life, where such bales and strong winds are both common, and I've never seen a wind outside of a tornado that could move one of those.

How the hell does a half-ton bale of hay roll out of a field and into traffic?

Google has already changed their logo (here, at least). Today, it's completely grayscale until you type something in the search box, then it lights up one letter after another.

From the frontpage:
QUOTE The Wait for the Date is Finally Over! Spore Available Weekend of September 7th 2008! Electronic Arts has just put out a press release on the release of Spore. EA states that the game: QUOTE will be available at retailers worldwide the weekend of September 7 Whether this means you will be able to pick up your copy Saturday September 6th, or have to wait until Monday the 8th is probably up to your local retailer. Ea goes on to confirm what we already knew about platforms: Spore will be available for the PC, Macintosh, Nintendo DS, and mobile phones. Will Wright is excited, saying: QUOTE “The wait is almost over. We’re in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can’t wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year.” So: finally a confirmed date to put on your calendars! Finally is all I can say, even though the wait be half a year longer than I previously hoped UPDATE: Maxis put a short Spore video on the official Spore site to celebrate the announcement, check it out! -------------------- ![]() Be nice to them or they might decide to "bring you democracy" My runs on Runner+ Now using Garmin Forerunner 405CX! |

Perhaps, but it wouldn't be the first time a highly-anticipated game with an "official" release date got delayed.

TMU: did we ever have a numerical date for Spore from the lips of EA?
The email from MaxisCactus: QUOTE Hey Everyone,
I'm MaxisCactus, Community Manager on Spore. I've been working on Spore here at the Maxis team for a bit over a year now, and I'm very excited about bringing you new information about this game. I'll be here to fill you in on the latest updates as they become available. Many of you have created amazing websites that are devoted to bringing information to the larger Spore fan base. Your contributions have helped garner a lot of support for this project, and have helped to generate much of the enthusiasm that's circulating about Spore. It's great to see so much excitement being surfaced through your efforts. I know you've all been waiting to hear when this game will launch, and I'm very excited to tell you that the official ship date for Spore is September 7th, 2008! You are free to post this information on your own sites to let fans know when they can look forward to playing the game. Also, Spore.com is now featuring a new movie about our game, so don't forget to take a look here: http://www.spore.com/screenshots.php?movieID=7&play=hi For those of you craving more eye candy, or just a peek into the game, keep a look out for several new assets that will be posted to Spore.com in the next few days. These will include creature pictures as well as game play screenshots which you can also post up on your own sites. I'm a bit disappointed to see it coming right when school starts up again though. I was hoping for all summer to play it, but a September release is certainly better than the anticipated "before the holiday" time frame. -------------------- <img src="http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e367/Moneyman2010mn/money.jpg">

That appears to be coming from the Polish EA site. Maybe it will be released here in Europe early, and the 7th is the US release date?
