I'd likek to see Expendables and Machete, but I'll catch them on DVD or cable. No going to the theater for me for a while.

Rex, I've lived in the Plains almost all my life, where such bales and strong winds are both common, and I've never seen a wind outside of a tornado that could move one of those.

Talk was interesting. Talked about (though not negatively) one of my main faults with SC4 - It takes so many man-hours to play. I never really got into designing terrain, though I tried. I always wanted to get in and build a cool city. I'd prefer a city sim to be more...accessible? I don't know about the ones currently in development, haven't been paying that much attention, but one of the best things about SC2000 was that you could get in, generate a random terrain, and start building a cool city in just a minute or so.

Well I just listened to the first podcast and I must say you guys put up a great show! Aside from a few technical glithes (Rexer's voice echoing and being too soft while Trixin's being a bit too loud) it was a great show. I hope that you will keep coming up with more great shows in the future! And oh trixin, next time end the show with a goodbye, ok?

Rex, get a new microphone!
Nice show guys, great job! It's the first podcast I find to be interesting. I'm looking forward to new episodes. I don't know how subscription works in iTunes, but in WinAmp you only need an RSS feed. -------------------- |

Thanks! I do have a good quality mic, but I was farther away from it than Trixan was from his, and I was unable to see the volume meters. I was sort of relying on Trixin to manage the balance, but I guess he didn't have good feedback on that, either. We'll improve that next time. As for iTunes, I just don't know how to set up the RSS feed it needs.

May I make a small suggestion?... I think you should promote your SIMphoni podcast more on the homepage: make small room either on the right column or in the left column above the different games list. I think it should bring you some more visibility (for a podcast?!

Very cool. Though it was slightly creepy listening to Trixin breathing for the first 35-40 seconds or so while the music played.
And maybe Rex doesn't need a new mic, maybe Trixin needs to turn down the gain on his? Just a thought. I say this because Rex's voice comes through clear, if quiet, and Trixin's seems to occasionally overwhelm the speakers, generating some static or feedback or something, even at lower volume levels where Rex becomes difficult to hear. If Trixin decreased the pickup on his, we also might not hear him breathing during the music. -------------------- My Sims 2 Stuff! - Updated 6/25/10

Yeah good point Toroca... Trixin, next time keep the mic bit further away from you. Since this was the first one, I'm sure it will improve with time.

QUOTE(toroca @ Nov 12 2007, 12:16 PM) Very cool. Though it was slightly creepy listening to Trixin breathing for the first 35-40 seconds or so while the music played. LOL, so did I! The reality is, the mic was about six inches away from my mouth, it was a matter of reducing the recording volume. I have a very sensitive headset and mic, it's just a matter of calibrating it. I also breath a little heavier than most people, probably due to my asthma. Don't worry, I'll fix that up for the next podcast. Thanks a lot for all your feedback everyone, its very encouraging! -------------------- Something Wicked This Way Comes! I have an idea for the next podcast. Since the next podcast will be by the end of this month, why don't you guys give yor review about Simcity Societies? Even if you dont play the game, read up the reviews from other websites and from members here and have your say what you and others feel about it. I think it would be pretty cool!

If you're going to leave the links to promos up too, might I suggest putting the episode being promo'd in parentheses?

Don't worry about that, the promo relating to the particular episode will have a title like "Episode Two Promo". The first promo linked there was the promo for the podcast as a whole, not just episode one. On that note, what did you think of the promo?
