Wow, misprint indeed. What we should be hearing is: "We are sorry we forgot to allow multiple users for a game that you purchased and own! We will fix the problem immediately!" What we're seeing right now is nothing short of bull you know what. That's very, very disappointing to hear... I really think it would be a great idea to write to a few major newspapers pointing the issue out. This needs to be fixed, not swept under a rug (misprint???), or I will certainly not be buying the game. I doubt I would be the only one.

Lots of people did that before Spore came out. The problem is, they are now not able to use those accounts anymore because their copy of Spore is forever linked to the account of one of their family members

Ah, ok. Misread this:

QUOTE
• Once you have a Spore account, you can log in with that account on any computer that has an install of any legitimate copy of Spore. On a single install it is possible for multiple users to switch back and forth between unique online Spore accounts. For this reason we have included a Log Out button in the Online Settings options labeled, Disconnect from Spore or change users. The different accounts will be playing in the same Galaxy, and will, therefore, share the same data folders.

That one is indeed extremely confusing. It seems to indicate that what everyone wants is possible. However, it fails to address that those "unique online Spore accounts" all have to be tied to a unique registration code to be valid. So I can go play at a colleague's house and log into my own online account. Needless to say this is infinitely more usefull than having someone who lives under the same roof as myself log into her own Spore account icon_rolleyes.gif

Finally someone started thinking over there, better late than never. I hope they get the update sorted quickly though, as the intermediate system will be kinda quirky.

and as it's the 18th of September... Arrrrg icon_viking.gif

icon_iamwithstupid.gif I'm happy they are listening. I just hope they don't make any of these mistakes in any future game releases.
