Just shelled out a whole lotta money for Spore? Finished installation succesfully? Thinking of trying the game? It may very well be that you run into a classical example of “Computer says no“. We all know that Spore needs to be online to experience the full features the game promises. We all assumed EA would set up and test their servers to handle the load of eager Spore players trying to log in when Spore eventually came out. Currently it seems that the testing part is still going on. Even though the game has only been released in a few countries by now, the servers appear to have succumbed to the load.
After installing Spore you have to log into an existing Spore account, or make a new one to register your game. The game states that your copy of Spore will be locked into that Spore account. At this moment, lots of people run into the message “Invalid Login”…even though it’s not. It seems loads of people have this problem at the moment, and that it probably comes down to the servers being overloaded….and that with release in the rest of the world still pending….
I for one am upset and disappointed that this is possible with a game that has been multiple years in the making. What will happen this weekend when the rest of the world will try to get in on the fun?
