EA has let us know through The Sims 3 Newsletter that the official Sims 3 site has been updated:

    I am impressed! Now the Sims 3 site looks like it should, with lots of features and information about the new version coming next year. Previously, we were just seeing a few screenshots but without much hard information behind them. The video is very nicely done! According to the TS3 news page, Maxis will release more information each month dealing with a different aspect of the upcoming release. This month it’s the neighrborhood living aspect, which will be a considerable enhancement to gameplay. There is also a new features page that talks about several other aspects of the game, including creating a sim, and a new personality builder, building and furnishing the home, and something I am most interested in, the gameplay experience.
