Snippets on Spore are sparse at the moment as news on the release of SimCity Societies seems to gobble up the most time at Electronic Arts’ press department. However, Will Wright recently gave an interview on BBC’s Radio 5 Live. In this interview he confirmed that Spore is in final testing and that the game is roughly six months away from release.
Wright indicated the game is basically finished, but is undergoing rigorous testing to make sure it is playable and accessible to a large group of people:
We’ve had to do a lot of testing to make sure that the game is accessible by a wide group of people. I want the people who have played The Sims to be able to play Spore – I don’t want it to be some thing just hardcore gamers play.
We expect Spore in the spring of 2008!
