The first Simcity: Societies newsletter has been released. It contains an interview with Rachel Bernstein, the Lead Producer of SC:S, on what kind of playing style suits her best. The newsletter also states that SC:S is now available for pre-ordering. Apparently pre-orderers will get a bonus:

At the official SC:S website additional bonuses are mentioned for pre-ordering at Wal-Mart (small town buildings) and Amazon (Cyberpunk buildings). The site also features new screenshots and two videos. The videos show two different city styles in SC:S, musically accompanied by ‘golden oldies’ from SC3k.
