Virgin’s Media division has published a list of the most hyped video games this year, and not surprisingly, Spore is in the list. But what’s special about this one is, Spore was one of two games that got an 11/10 (along with GTA 4).

Hype doesn’t come any bigger than this. Those in the know are hailing this as the game to change gaming forever. Difficult to summarise, but basically you start as a microbe, develop your species, evolve to your planet’s conditions, then master space travel and colonise another planet. With every online player having their own planet, it’s a big old universe out there!

And still, we’re all left wondering when the hype will end and we’ll finally be able to play it!
