Spore has found its way onto just about every Most Wanted, Most Anticipated, and Top Ten games list out there in the past month, even with a lack of new information on the game. Bjorn3D and IGN put it at number 2, Gamespy pegs it at 5, and it’s included in GameSpot‘s most anticipated games of the year. Even the San Fransisco Chronicle (which is near Redwood, EA’s headquarters) says Spore is set to be the second most successful game of the year – assuming it is released this year, of course.

Despite all these high rankings, Maxis has been pretty tight about keeping any new Spore info away from us lately. Everyone is looking forward to a new preview, or new screenshots, anything! Feed the masses, Maxis!
